  • A Level Results 2023

Thu 17 Aug 2023 Miss Lancefield

“A Level and BTEC celebration at Ursuline College”

Students at Ursuline College achieved phenomenal A Level results this year with over a third obtaining B grade or higher. With the news that A Level results are working towards pre-pandemic levels and the higher grades are more challenging to reach than last year, the results our students have achieved today in a comprehensive setting are ones to be exceptionally proud of. Overall, 64% of students achieved A*-C grades with a 96% pass rate. We are absolutely delighted with our BTEC results too, with 50% of our students achieving an equivalent of A* or A grades, and a 99% pass rate. Both staff and students have worked extremely hard to secure results that firmly place us as one of the leading providers of A Level and BTEC qualifications in Thanet.

Stand out performances came from James Cole, our Head Boy, who has been hugely successful in gaining A* in Finance, A* equivalent in Business and A in Maths, and Hannah Binu who chose to take vocational qualifications to follow her dream of going to university to become a Nurse. Hannah has received exceptional grades of Distinction *, Distinction, Distinction (A*AA equivalent)  in Health and Social Care.

Johnny Joyce, Director of Sixth Form said, “These results are a testament to all the students and their dedicated teachers. We are thrilled for them all and proud of all they have achieved.”

Danielle Lancefield, Headteacher said, “We are exceptionally proud to celebrate these achievements with our students. Their success is down to the hard work they have shown with their A Level and BTEC courses. The commitment of our students has been supported by their families and inspired by our amazing teachers at Ursuline College who have supported them in the classroom each day. As our students move on to their next chapter, we wish them all the best and congratulate them on their successes.”
