Trips

At Ursuline College Sixth Form, we believe in enriching our students’ educational journey through a range of meaningful trips and excursions. These experiences not only expand their horizons but also provide valuable insights and personal growth opportunities.

University Fair and Local University Visits

Our students attend a university fair, offering them the chance to explore numerous higher education options. These visits to local universities provide a firsthand look at campus life, programs, and facilities, helping students make informed choices about their academic and career paths.

Geography Field Trips

Our Geography field trips are a fundamental component of our curriculum. These excursions bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world applications, allowing students to gain practical insights into geographical concepts and environmental issues.

Parliament Visit

A visit to the Parliament is an educational experience that helps students comprehend the inner workings of government, fostering civic engagement and an appreciation for the political process.

Thorpe Park Enrichment

Trips to Thorpe Park offer students a chance to unwind, bond with peers, and create cherished memories. These experiences contribute to a balanced lifestyle and promote overall well-being.

International Excursions (Paris, Berlin, Rome)

Our international trips to iconic European cities like Paris, Berlin, and Rome open doors to global perspectives. Students immerse themselves in diverse cultures, explore historical landmarks, and cultivate a broader understanding of the world, enhancing their cultural awareness and global outlook.

In addition to these fantastic opportunities, it’s worth noting that in the last academic year, we secured funding for 65 of our students to complete international work experience. Twenty students each had the privilege of spending three weeks in three European locations - Marseilles, Brussels, and Lisbon. The funding covered all travel, accommodation, and living expenses during their stay. We are committed to identifying further funding opportunities to provide our students with similar enriching experiences in the future.

These trips are not only integral to our students’ academic and personal development but also contribute to building a well-rounded educational experience that goes beyond the confines of the classroom. They equip our students with vital life skills, cultural awareness, and a global perspective, ultimately preparing them for success in their future endeavours.
