Homework - Edulink One

All homework is set online using the Edulink One platform, students and parents have separate logins.  Students will log in using their Offce 365 accounts they use in school, parents have their own unique login and password. We encourage all parents to make full use of the Edulink One App which is available on App Store and Google Play)

Students at Ursuline also have access to Microsoft 365 (https://www.office.com) using their school email address (eg ‘username’@ursuline.kent.sch.uk).  Here they can access all their files on OneDrive, their emails using Outlook and online versions of Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel.  Some departments also make use of Microsoft Teams (https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-teams/log-in) to share files with their students.

 

Homework Schedule:

 

As a guide, students should expect to receive the following homework:

 

 

Year 7 & 8 (approx. 1hr per night)

Years 9 & 10 (approx. 1.5hrs per night)

Years 11 (approx. 1.5hrs per night plus independent study)

Core subjects (English, Maths, Science, RE)

One 30 minute piece per week

One 45 minute piece per week

Minimum of one 45 – 60 minute piece per week

Non-core subjects (Option subjects in Years 10 & 11)

One 30 minute piece every 3 lessons

One 45 minute piece every 3 lessons

One 45-60 minute piece every 3 lessons

As stated on our literacy page, students also have access to a vast array of digital books and audio books using on http://www.soraapp.com and our full recommended reading list is available here.  It is expected that students read everyday at home, as regular access to reading is a proven method of helping a child to improve their ability to fully access the curriculum.
