Applied Science BTEC Ext Cert Level 3 

4 GCSEs 9-4 including at least 4-4 in Combined Science 

Art & Design BTEC Ext Cert Level 3 

4 GCSEs 9-4 or equivalent, including at least a Pass in GCSE Art, a portfolio of work and natural artistic flair 

Biology A Level 3 

5 GCSEs 9-4 or equivalent, including at least 5-5 in Combined Science or 5 in Biology 

Business Studies BTEC Ext Cert Level 3 

4 GCSEs 9-4 or equivalent, including English & Maths 

Chemistry A Level 3 

5 GCSEs 9-4 or equivalent, including at least 5-5 in Combined Science or 5 in Pure Chemistry 

Criminology Level 3 Diploma 

5 GCSE’s 9-4 (or equivalent). 

In order to study a Diploma in Criminology students need to achieve a Grade 4 or above in English and in one of the following GCSE’s: History, Sociology, RE or another comparable Humanities subject. 

English Literature A Level 3 

5 GCSEs 9-4 or equivalent. It is essential to have gained Grade 5 or above in GCSE English Language and 5 in GCSE English Literature. 

English re-sit Level 2 

For those students who did not gain 4 or above in GCSE Literature or Language 

French A Level 3 

5 GCSEs 9-4 or equivalent, including English. Grade 6 in French GCSE 

Financial Studies LIBF Diploma Level 3 

5 GCSE’s 9-4 including English at grade 4 and Maths at grade 5 

Geography A Level 3 

5 GCSEs 9-4 or equivalent, including at least grade 4 in both English and Geography 

German A Level 3 

5 GCSEs 9-4 or equivalent, including English. Grade 6 in German GCSE 

Health & Social Care Extended Certificate Level 3 

4 GCSEs 9-4 or equivalent including English and Maths grade 4 or above. 

Health & Social Care Cambridge Tech Level 3 Diploma 

4 GCSEs 9-4 or equivalent including English and Maths grade 4 or above. 

Health & Social Care Cambridge Tech Level 3 Extended Diploma 

4 GCSE’s 9-4 grade including English and Maths grade 4 or above. In addition to this learners must have gained at least a Merit at Level 2 Health and Social Care or a 5-5 in Combined Sciences or a 5 in Biology at GCSE level. 

History A Level 3 

5 GCSEs 9 – 4 or equivalent, including English and Maths and a grade 5 or above in History. 

Information Technology Extended Cert L3 

4 GCSEs 9-4 or equivalent including English and Mathematics 

Maths A Level 3 

5 GCSEs 9-4 or equivalent, including GCSE Maths at grade 7 

Maths re-sit 

For those students who did not gain 4 or above in GCSE Maths 

Media Studies A Level 3 

5 GCSE’s 9-4 including English 5 grade or above and/or Media Studies  grade 5  and above (students do not have to have studied Media Studies for GCSE) 

Performing Art (Dance) BTEC National Ext Cert Level 3 

4 GCSEs 9-4 or equivalent. Auditions will be held. It is desirable that students have experience in the field of dance. 

Physics A Level 3 

5 GCSEs 9-4 or equivalent, including at least 5-5 in Combined Science or 5 in Physics and 6 in Maths. 

Applied Psychology BTEC Level 3 

4 GCSEs 9 – 4 or equivalent, including English and Maths at grade 5 or above. 

Religious Studies A Level 3 

5 GCSEs 9 – 4 or equivalent, including English at grade 4 or above. 

Sport BTEC National Ext Cert Level 3 

5 GCSEs 9-4 or equivalent, including English. Preferably GCSE grade 4 or above in PE or BTEC Level 2 Pass. Students should have a high level of interest in sport/physical activity and ideally be an active participant. 

Sport BTEC National Diploma Level 3 

5 GCSEs 9-4 or equivalent, including English. Preferably GCSE grade 4 or above in PE or BTEC Level 2 Pass. Students should have a high level of interest in sport/physical activity and ideally be an active participant. 

Sport BTEC National Extended Diploma Level 3 

5 GCSEs grade 4 or above including English. Preferably a GCSE grade 4 or above in PE or BTEC Level 2 Merit. Students should have a high level of interest in sport/physical activity and ideally be an active participant. 

TSC Football Scholarship Programme 

Players should be competent and wish to progress seamlessly onto either University to play at a higher standard or to play at semi-professional or professional level.
