TSC FA Scholarship Programme

Our Scholarship programme run in partnership with Ursuline College Sixth Form is for 16-19 year old boys and girls who want to take the step into a full time football training programme alongside their academic studies.

The aim of the scholarship programme is to provide high quality opportunities for participants to perform at their highest level in both academic and football endeavours.

We run two squads from the school, with a development squad representing the Ursuline and training on the schools 3G pitch, and our Elite squad will combine with players from St Georges and will represent Ramsgate FC with matches and training at Southwood Stadium. Players have the opportunity to move between the development and elite squads based on their performances.

TSC will provide a highly structured and professional coaching programme, developed for talented and passionate players who wish to progress seamlessly onto either University to play at a higher standard or to play at semi-professional or professional level. As well as receiving a high level of coaching, students will have the opportunity to take their coaching badges, as well as being given access to potential scholarships at universities across the USA. Players will train full time with the TSC coaching staff and will be trained as a professional club would be. Every player in the scholarship programme will receive regular coaching sessions with highly qualified, experienced and professional football coaches.

Training sessions will focus on individual technical ability and tactical understanding to prepare them for a potential future in the game. As well as this position specific training for individuals, including specialist goalkeeper sessions. A full fitness programme including SAQ work, strength and conditioning work and individual programmes and structured, periodical fitness testing. A physic will also be available to the players for help with injuries and also to design individual strengthening programmes.

Players will represent Ursuline College and TSC in KSFA league and Cup competitions, ESFA Cup Competitions as well as the opportunity to compete in additional tournaments. The Elite squad will compete in the National Youth Alliance League.

There will be the opportunity to participate in fixtures against professional, semi-professional and University football teams. Players will benefit from TSC’s extensive links within the semi-professional and professional game. There will also be the opportunity to take coaching badges and earn a qualification which can lead to a career in coaching or other areas of sport. All players will also have the opportunity to take their Level 1 Qualification in Football Coaching. This will be fully funded by TSC and passing the course will mean the students are fully qualified coaches. A selection of scholars will be given the opportunity to undertake a Level 3 qualification in Sports Leadership, which carries a UCAS tariff of 16 points.
