Career Pathways | Philosophy and Ethics is one of the most respected post 16 examination course accepted at Universities throughout the world. It is one of the most thought provoking and stimulation A levels. The pertinent observation is that students who take this subject are analytical and coherent in their ability to argue and justify points of view. As a Philosophy and Ethics student you will be well equipped to enter such professions as Law, Journalism, Mediation, Counselling, Diplomacy, Teaching, Charity and Youth work as well as in any role where the focus is on community and the best outcome for society is required. This A level compliments and is complimented by A levels English Literature and Language, Criminology, History and Psychology, though in truth students can quite easily follow any of the Sciences as this gives the ground from which to challenge of the issues raised within Philosophy and Ethics. |
Extra-Curricular | The expectation is that students will have the opportunity to attend an A Level Conference in either London or Kent. There are guest speakers from e.g. Local consultants and presentation by Fr. Tom (Phd Oxford). Students have the opportunity to visit UKC Philosophy events.
