Pathway choices

Academic Level 3

Level 2

Choose 4 if your predicted/actual GCSE grades are 9-7

Choose 3 if your predicted/actual GCSE grades are 9-4

You can study a mixture of A levels and BTECS or:

 

You may choose 3 straight A levels if you have 5 GCSE passes at grades 9-5

You may choose 3 BTEC courses (or equivalent) if you have 4 GCSE passes grade 9-4

These should be studied in addition to 3 Level three courses if predicted/actual GCSE grades in English and Maths are 3-1.

13 A-levels to choose from, including:

 

Biology

Chemistry

English Literature

French

Geography

German

History

Maths

Media

Physics

Psychology

Religious Studies

 

11 qualifications (mainly BTECs) to choose from, including:

Applied Science Ext Cert

Art & Design Ext Cert

Business Studies Ext Cert

Criminology Diploma

Dance Extended Certificate

Health & Social Care Extended Certificate

Health & Social Diploma*

Health and Social Extended Diploma**

Financial Studies

Information Technology Ext Cert

Sport Extended Certificate

Sport National Diploma*

These are short courses. To move to solely Level 3 courses, you must successfully pass English & Maths re-sit. If you fail to complete this, you may not be offered a place the following year.

 

 

Please note: Courses will only be run if numbers are viable. Should a course no longer be on offer, you will be informed and a discussion will take place to consider alternative options.
