Food Market Saturday 8th July 2023

We are in a cost-of-living crisis and some of our students wanted to do something to help those families who are maybe facing challenges. At Ursuline College, we have a student group called Youth SVP (St. Vincent de Paul Society, their aim is to help their own community and that of Thanet. The money raised will be used by the Youth SVP to benefit the local community.

Our students are working with Thanet Earth who are donating their produce to a Food Market on Saturday 8th of July at Ursuline College. The food available, at significantly reduced cost, are Tomatoes, Peppers, and Cucumbers of all varieties that they produce at Thanet Earth. Costs are between 10p - 40p per item. This is a cash only event. See the poster attached. The students want to provide access to high-quality, low-cost, fresh food to all families on a first come first served basis until all produce is gone.
