Chaplaincy
Gracious God,
Let us remain in harmony,
United together all of one heart and one mind
Let us be bound together by the bonds of love.
Respecting each other, helping each other and bearing with each other in Jesus Christ
For if we try to be like this then without any doubt the Lord God will be in our midst
Amen

Prayers for Peace in Ukraine
God of peace and justice,
we pray for the people of Ukraine, Eastern Europe and all those suffering from War in our World.
and those who stand with them today.
We pray for peace and the laying down of weapons.
We pray for all those who fear for tomorrow,
that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them.
We pray for those with power over war or peace,
for wisdom, discernment and compassion
to guide their decisions.
Above all, we pray for all your precious children,
at-risk and in fear, that you would hold and protect them.
We pray in the name of Jesus,
the Prince of Peace.
Amen.
A Prayer from Cafod
Loving God,
We pray for the people of Ukraine, Eastern Europe and
for all those suffering or afraid,
that you will be close to them and protect them.
We pray for world leaders,
for compassion, strength and wisdom to guide their choices.
We pray for the world that in this moment of crisis, we may reach out in solidarity to our brothers and sisters in need.
May we walk in your ways
so that peace and justice
become a reality for the people of Ukraine
and for all the world.
Amen.
A prayer from St Richards, part of our KCSP Community
Give leaders from across the world the wisdom to see beyond the boundaries of race, religion, and nation.
Grant those with political power to see the common humanity which makes us all your children.
Allow those who have taken up arms in anger or revenge to be calmed and influenced by your grace to the path of peace.
Let those, whose hearts ache with tragedy be influenced with the power of your love, to seek and follow the path of peaceful dialogue and constructive collaboration.
Give people faith to heal, repair and make good everything which has been broken by violence.
Strengthen the courage of all people tempted by the greed of conflict to turn their backs on war and embrace their neighbours.
Amen

Saint Augustine of Canterbury House Prayer
God Our Father
Let us pray
That there will be respect

Peace for its people

And, from now on, a new start.

Saint Bernadette of Lourdes House Prayer
Help us, O dear Saint Bernadette
to follow your example,
so that irrespective
of our own pain and suffering
we may always be mindful
of the needs of others,
especially those whose sufferings
are greater than ours.
Amen

Saint Francis of Assisi House Prayer
Lord,
make me an instrument of Your peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved, as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
And it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.
Amen.

Saint Teresa of Calcutta House Prayer
Dear Jesus,
help us to spread your fragrance everywhere we go.
Flood our souls with your spirit and life.
Penetrate and possess our whole being so utterly, that our lives may only be a radiance of yours.
-
Shine through us, and be so in us,
that every person we should come in contact with
may feel your presence in our soul.
Let them look up and see no longer us,
but only Jesus.
Stay with us, and then we shall begin to shine as you shine; so to shine as to be a light to others;
the light, Jesus, will be all from you.
None of it will be ours.
It will be you shining on others through us.
Let us thus praise you in the way you love best, by shining on those around us. Let us preach you without preaching: not by words, but by our example, by the catching force, the sympathetic influence of what we do, the evident fullness of the love our hearts bear for you. Amen.
St Teresa of Calcutta, pray for us
Our Father
Our Father,
who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.
Hail Mary
Hail Mary,
full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
Glory Be
Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now,
and ever shall be world without end
Amen
