Noted for its friendly atmosphere and pleasant location in 16 acres of wooded grounds, the College currently has 160 students in the Sixth Form, who come from across East Kent and beyond. A ‘typical’ Ursuline Sixth Former might have been at the College since Year 7, or have recently joined us from another school or college to study A Levels, Btec courses, Sports Academy, extra GCSEs or the Sports Leader Qualification or a mixture of these.

Our wide ability Sixth Form, with its supportive pastoral structure and wide range of curricular and extra-curricular activities, offers opportunities for one, two or three year programmes of study and clear progression routes into Higher Education.

All Sixth Form students have one form tutor period each week and one lesson of General RE. Sport is optional, with a wide choice of team or individual activities.  Pupils may then choose a selection of subjects from the following list, which will be grouped into option blocks giving the flexibility of combining the study of subjects at AS Level with vocational subjects, Sports Academy  and/or GCSE re-sits.

Ursuline College & TSC Football Academy Scholarship Programme September 15

Ursuline College are delighted to announce a brand new post 16 football and coaching scholarship programme in conjunction with TSC Academy, which operates two Kent based football academies for talented, advanced youth football players in Thanet and Faversham.

This new programme has been designed specifically for Ursuline College in conjunction with Seb Tidey, Head Coach at TSC Football Academy. There is a structured, professional coaching programme for talented players who may wish to progress seamlessly onto University to play at a higher level, or to follow a semi-professional/ professional route into the game. It is our intention to provide opportunities for our scholars to visit and play UK University teams, and other professional clubs, as well playing in the Schools’ Academies league. In addition, a brand new highly structured coaching scholarship designed to complement the playing scholarship, means that coaching scholars will have the opportunity to become involved in the delivery of the well-established TSC community programme as well as supporting the delivery of a brand new football programme within school itself across Year 7-11 students.
